Biography

John DeGregory started his career as a builder of residential homes along with his dad in Greensburg, Pa. He did a brief stent as an auto mechanic for a local GM dealer, who sent thim to the GM school in Monroeville, PA for fuel injections. As he told us recently, he failed his first class along with most of his classmates, but talked the instructor into giving him another chance and passed his next fuel injection class with flying colors. John was always a food lover and opened a restaurant in Greensburg, PA and did very well as owner, manager, chef etc. His real love of cars showed when he started bringing fuel injections into the back office of the restaurant to work on them in his spare time.

John was a charter member of the Pittsburgh Tri-State chapter, started in June 1990 with fellow corvette owners and lovers. John went on to 5 two year terms as Chairman, and serving multiple terms as Vice Chair, and activities director for the chapter. John has served over 23 years on the PTSC board. He was an integral part of the chapter and instrumental in keeping the chapter thriving.

John was presented with the NCRS Presidents award in 2017 at our Altoona regional for his work at a national level for the organization and as point person for Rochester Fuel Injections.

We loved the big guy for his integrity, honesty and his openness to share his knowledge with anyone who asked for help.
