First time back in St. Louis since 1998 The Kansas City & St. Louis NCRS Chapters invite you and your family to the 2008 National Convention in St. Charles, Missouri!

Convention headquarters are located across the river from St. Louis where Corvettes were assembled from 1954 through 1982. Close enough to St. Louis to enjoy all the activities it has to offer, yet allowing you to spend some time with us here in St. Charles where important events shaped American history.

This place by the river has welcomed Native Americans, trappers, explorers, pioneers and now, you. As you walk along the riverfront on Main Street and up to Frenchtown, you can really sense the scale of the city and the pace of the times.

You’ll learn how these people built a community (and a nation) right here on the banks of the Missouri River. Enjoy the quaint shops and restaurants of the Historic District while utilizing the new High-Tech Convention Facilities.

All of the following information is available in your latest Driveline. You may find it easier to follow in the magazine, or you may find it easier here on the web site. Forms from the magazine are all available here so you can print them rather than copy them or tear up your Driveline. Please read over all of the information before you fill out your registration form so you don't miss anything.

Year of the ‘58 Activities

Date/Time: Varies from special events to full time displays

The NCRS has declared that 2008 is the “Year of the ’58.” Longtime NCRS member, Scott Sinclair, will organize and manage our display of these 50th Anniversary Corvettes.

If you own a 1958 Corvette, please consider bringing it to the convention and registering for the “Year of the 58” parade and special display. Any 1958 Corvette is welcome…original cars, restored cars, customs, hotrods, rolling chassis’, even partially completed project cars. All “Year of the 58” entrants will receive a special plaque and their ‘58’s will be prominently displayed together. Your ’58 will not be judged unless you elect to sign up for judging (see separate Judging pages, if you are interested). On Sunday of convention week, all 1958 Corvettes will travel to the final meeting point for the Road Tour. From there, our arrival parade will proceed to the host hotel, with its police escort. The parade will be led by the 1958’s.

If you own a 1958 Corvette, don’t miss this special anniversary (it’s a long wait till the 100th)!
